GRiD receives AI support from new member Leonardo da Vinci

Press release 8 April 2025.

AI solutions provider, Leonardo da Vinci Ltd, is the latest company to join GRiD, the industry body for group risk, and GRiD is delighted to add this specialism to its membership.

Leonardo da Vinci Ltd provides AI and automation specifically for the creative sector, generating content and offering social media management that matches the creative style and voice of each user.

Bill Mansfield, Managing Director, Leonardo da Vinci Ltd explains why he has joined: “My reason for joining GRiD is to support the organisation and its members to increase awareness and engagement in group risk. I worked for 19 years in group risk at Unum, and I also volunteered for five years in Citizens Advice, specialising in helping the public access state benefits. That experience reinforced my appreciation of the huge value of benefits in the workplace. Through my company, I’m pleased to support GRiD with AI and CRM tools supporting awareness and campaigns, as well as admin and service to members.”

Barry Waring, chair of GRiD’s Raising the Profile committee, said: “Bill and his company will provide something quite different for our members, with a real understanding of their needs, given Bill’s background. In return, GRiD will offer networking opportunities and access to industry leaders. This is a great example of how our community can bring people together to support each other in ways that may not otherwise be considered or possible.”

GRiD’s aim is to promote group risk protection and its associated services through a collective voice, develop best practice, and ensure the industry can lobby and influence government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits. GRiD also works with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas.

About GRiD

Group Risk Development (GRiD) is the industry body for the group risk sector, promoting the value to UK businesses of providing financial protection for their staff, enhancing their well-being and improving employee engagement. Our membership includes insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and those operating in (or with other interests in) the UK group risk market. Together this forms a collective wealth of experience built over many years. Under the chairmanship of Colin Fitzgerald  (Distribution Director – Group Protection, L&G Retail) GRiD aims to promote group risk through a collective voice to Government, policymakers, stakeholders and employers.

GRiD works with government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits, and with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas. GRiD also seeks to enhance the industry’s standing by encouraging best practice and by participating in industry-wide initiatives such as the professional qualification in group risk managed jointly with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

GRiD’s media activity aims to generate a wider awareness and understanding of group risk products and their benefits for employers and employees.

GRiD’s dedicated spokesperson, Katharine Moxham, provides expert media comment on a full range of group risk issues.
