Press release 12 September 2023.
Perci Health, the UK’s first virtual cancer rehabilitation clinic, is the newest specialist provider to join GRiD, the industry body for group risk.
Combining clinical and vocational rehabilitation through multidisciplinary, coordinated expert care, Perci Health ensures cancer never stands in the way of anyone living and working to their full potential. As the newest member of GRiD, Perci Health hopes to bring this level of expertise and compassion to the group risk industry to heighten understanding of needs and improve provision of care.
Nicole Wassink, chief commercial officer, Perci Health said: ‘Joining GRiD is an excellent opportunity for us to help shape group risk policy to provide better support to the growing population of people impacted by cancer. As the UK’s largest network of cancer healthcare specialists, we are uniquely positioned to work with GRiD to amplify change across the industry as a whole.’
Paul White, chair of GRiD said: ‘Cancer is the main cause of claim across all group risk products. To be able to combine Perci Health’s depth of cancer expertise with GRiD’s prominence and voice puts us together in an influential position to innovate in this space and ensure providers and intermediaries are well equipped to deal with the unique and complex nature of cancer.’

About GRiD
Group Risk Development (GRiD) is the industry body for the group risk sector, promoting the value to UK businesses of providing financial protection for their staff, enhancing their wellbeing and improving employee engagement. Our membership includes insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and those operating in (or with other interests in) the UK group risk market. Together this forms a collective wealth of experience built over many years. Under the chairmanship of Paul White (head of technical, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing) GRiD aims to promote group risk through a collective voice to Government, policymakers, stakeholders and employers.
GRiD works with government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits, and with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas. GRiD also seeks to enhance the industry’s standing by encouraging best practice and by participating in industry-wide initiatives such as the professional qualification in group risk managed jointly with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
GRiD’s media activity aims to generate a wider awareness and understanding of group risk products and their benefits for employers and employees.
GRiD’s dedicated spokesperson, Katharine Moxham, provides expert media comment on a full range of group risk issues.
