DR&P joins GRiD to help expansion plans

Press release 25 January 2021

General Insurance broker David Roberts & Partners (DR&P) has joined group risk industry body GRiD. Already firmly established in the business and personal insurance space, the broker is strengthening and expanding its healthcare and group risk employee benefits offering and has joined GRiD to support these plans.

Access to group risk industry leaders, the training academy and employer research were all big pulls for DR&P.

Helen Chambers, employee benefits director, DR&P said: “It is vitally important we are up to date with regulatory changes and what’s going on in the group risk industry so we can provide the most up to date and relevant advice to our clients, which will also give them confidence in us. GRiD gives us access to this and we are very pleased to kick off the new year as members.”

Paul White, chair of GRiD said: “Our industry never stands still, and, within GRiD, we are fortunate to have some of the best minds in the business keeping on top of, and indeed developing, the latest advancements. We provide a forum to share that knowledge and look forward to working with our newest member.”

About GRiD

Group Risk Development (GRiD) is the industry body for the group risk sector, promoting the value to UK businesses of providing financial protection for their staff, enhancing their wellbeing and improving employee engagement. Our membership includes insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and those operating in (or with other interests in) the UK group risk market. Together this forms a collective wealth of experience built over many years. Under the chairmanship of Paul White (head of technical, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing) GRiD aims to promote group risk through a collective voice to Government, policymakers, stakeholders and employers.

GRiD works with government departments and regulators involved in legislation and regulation affecting group risk benefits, and with other organisations involved in the benefits and financial protection arenas. GRiD also seeks to enhance the industry's standing by encouraging best practice and by participating in industry-wide initiatives such as the professional qualification in group risk managed jointly with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

GRiD’s media activity aims to generate a wider awareness and understanding of group risk products and their benefits for employers and employees.

GRiD's dedicated spokesperson, Katharine Moxham, provides expert media comment on a full range of group risk issues.
