Group risk policies offer many solutions, says GRiD.
Employers can find solutions for tacking mental ill-health outside of traditional routes like employee assistance programmes (EAPs) or private medical insurance, according to Group Risk Development (GRiD).
The group risk promotion body said although a lot of progress is being made to remove the stigma surrounding mental ill-health, employers can be at a loss as to what to do next.
It explained there are now many more solutions available within group risk polices, including employer-sponsored life assurance, income protection and critical illness protection products.
