Benefits that reach beyond the individual – and why they’re worthwhile
For many households, money has never been tighter. The Joseph Rowntree Foundation recently reported that a third of people are living on ‘inadequate income’ – and yet this year’s Modern Families Index found that 48% of millennial dads would take a pay cut to spend more time with their children. This speaks volumes about why family life, and its protection, may be one of the most important considerations about a job.
Flexible working is clearly a large, and obvious, part of the solution but what other family-focused benefits could employers consider? And are they worth it?
