Health checks will lose their tax and NI advantages from April 2017.
People who take steps to look after their own health either by paying for health insurance or health checks themselves or through their employer have been targeted unfairly in the Autumn Statement.
The health insurance and protection industry expressed widespread disappointment this week as Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond revealed that tax and employer National Insurance (NI) advantages of salary sacrifice schemes will be removed from April 2017, except for arrangements relating to pensions, childcare, Cycle to Work and ultra-low emission cars.
